Recovering the old patio

The renovation of a house between dividing walls, in the historic center of Cruïlles aims to gain light and enhance its original structure. Additions and roofs in poor condition are demolished to open a patio that gives spaciousness and brightness to the spaces. The traditional materials of the area are preserved, prioritizing their recovery.
The action respects the constructive typology of the house and maintains coherence with the environment. On the facade, its presence in the square, next to the tower, is preserved. The new opening on the attic floor allows more light and views without altering the original height. The garden maintains its authentic character, combining vegetation and recovered water elements, such as the well and the stone pond.
