A house on the rocks of a cove

This house, located in a pristine bay, is composed of two independent spaces joined by porches and patios with vegetation, creating a game of connections and sea views. The swimming pool is integrated into the landscape and has an outdoor hammam, designed as a meeting and relaxation space.
The building is designed to blend in with the surroundings and respect its unique location, in front of an old 18th century coastal fortress. The dry stone walls delimit the plot without completely closing it off, allowing a fluid transition between the garden and the landscape. The organization of the spaces is free: one sector for the parents and another for the children, connected by a large open porch that enhances the indoor-outdoor relationship.
The interior courtyards, in addition to promoting climatic comfort, host exotic vegetation, providing an evocative character. The materials used, such as dry stone, sandy-textured plaster and brick with a finish similar to local stone, reinforce the integration with the environment.
The interior design, carried out by the property, introduces Caribbean-inspired elements that coexist with local architecture. The aim of the project has been to find a balance between these influences and the Mediterranean landscape, achieving a house fully rooted in the site.
